about me & this blog
hey, that’s me!📝 resume 📝
Hello!
My name’s Joon Nam, a Seoul-born, Denver-bred, and Providence/New York-educated Pokemon Sleep, Bob Dylan, and Colorado sports enthusiast.
After finishing my high school studies at Seoul Foreign High School in 2019, I graduated from Brown University in 2023 studying International & Public Affairs, Public Health, and Computer Science (triple major) while serving on Undergraduate Council of Students as their inaugural Elections Director, as an Executive Editor for the Critical Review, as President of Harmonizing Grace Gospel Choir, and as a survivor of a nocturnal sophomore year (fueled by a 13-hour time difference during the pandemic).
After graduation, I served as caregiver at Hana Remnant Center for the Disabled as part of my South Korean military service from October 2023 until May 2025.
Currently, I’m a 1L at Columbia Law School (‘28), where I serve as Treasurer for the Student Senate, Co-President of the Christian Legal Society, Vice President of the Columbia International Arbitration Association, Co-Professional Development Chair of the Columbia Society of International Law, Stage Manager for Law Revue, and Social Co-Chair for the Columbia Law International Students Alliance. I also am a member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition team and a Staff Editor for the Columbia Science and Technology Law Review.
You might know me from my shining, sole, two and one-fifth million view accomplishment in life (see below, and an explanation here). There’s not much here, but I’ll post whenever I have some free time and an urge to write (where I will then probably pull it off the site a few months later out of shame).
Thanks for visiting!
